  • THE BRIEF:

Our client wanted to have an iconic visual to highlight the rising risk of global warming and its increasing effect on Australian produce. Our 3D artists designed the model from sketches provided by the client. The lamp and the landscape were built in two separate scenes, entirely in 3D. For the lamp, the focus was on building realistic refractions and the filament in the globe. Attention to detail was involved for the landscape construction, from as little as the scratches and dents on the farmer's shed to the rust grains in the rim of the lampshade. Additionally our artists worked on creating the displacement of the arid earth cracks and soil to result in a realistic miniature landscape. Once the 3D construction was rendered, it was handed over to our retouchers to composite the two scenes together and provide a warm grade and glow to further enhance the barren atmosphere.
