Sydney Morning Herald

We were commissioned by Host to bring to life a range of "Interesting Creatures' developed to reflect the diverse readership that The Sydney Morning Herald attracts. UK-based illustrator Jon Burgerman had taken the brief on the characters and Cream was to bring them to life by building them in 3D with the illustrations as reference. The creatures also lived online where visitors could discover more about them and all their specific interests through their own blog pages.

The launch of the campaign provoked an enormous response from both readers via an online blog site, rival newspapers and the media audience intended as the target audience. The final part of the campaign involved getting actual toys manufactured using the wireframes.
